Material Introduction: PP Zhenhai Refining & Chemical T30S is widely‑used drawing‑grade homopolymer polypropylene, also commonly applied for injection molding. It features low melt flow rate, excellent toughness and good processability for diversified applications.

Main Applications

Woven products: Traditional and primary application, including woven bags, tarpaulins, FIBC bulk bags, carpet backing and strapping ropes. Good tensile strength and low elongation meet these usage requirements.

Injection‑molded products: Daily‑use articles and general‑purpose parts such as buckets, basins, stools and toys. Its favorable flow property adapts to injection‑molding processing.

Packaging materials: Besides woven bags, also used for films such as tear‑film.

Fibers: For fiber‑related products.

Other fields: Can be modified for applications with higher performance requirements.

Processing Parameters

Processing Item Reference Range Remarks & Instructions
Drying Treatment Normally not required PP water absorption approx.0.01%‑0.04%. Drying is unnecessary under proper storage. Dry at 80‑100 ℃ for 1‑2 h if material gets damp.
Barrel Temperature 200‑280℃ Homopolymer PP melting point:165‑170℃. Zone example: rear zone 160‑180℃;middle zone 180‑210℃;front zone 200‑230℃. Do not exceed 275 ℃ to prevent material degradation.
Mold Temperature 40‑80℃ Recommended:50℃. Higher mold temperature improves surface gloss, dimensional stability and crystallinity yet increases cooling time and shrinkage rate. Lower mold temperature shortens cycle time but may cause poor surface appearance and warpage.
Injection Pressure 70‑120 MPa Adjust based on flow length, wall thickness and structural complexity. PP melt viscosity is sensitive to shear rate; raising injection pressure is usually more effective to improve flowability than raising temperature.
Holding Pressure 30%‑60% of injection pressure Sufficient holding pressure reduces shrinkage and sink marks. Avoid overly long holding time to prevent excessive internal stress.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed High‑speed injection helps reduce internal stress, especially for thin‑wall articles. Reduce injection speed or raise melt temperature if surface defects such as gas marks appear.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa Moderate back‑pressure improves melt homogenization and venting, not mandatory.
Screw Speed 50‑100 rpm Avoid excessive screw speed to prevent shear‑induced overheating.
